Central is in the process of updating the congregation's constitution and bylaws to better reflect the model constitution of the ELCA. The procedure used to review the changes compared the current constitution to the model constitution and resulted in a recommended constitution. These links provide a summary of the significant changes, a 3 column parellel working document, and a final version. Notice of the congregation's council recommendation to adobt the amended consitution has been sent 30 days prior to the January 22, 2012 Annual meeting. If the congregation votes to accept the amended constitution it will become effective immediately. A transitional continuing resolution will also be needed to provide for the congregation's council and officers. More details to come.
